India now has a CDMA tablet as well – Reliance Communication has launched a new tablet, aptly called – Reliance CMDA Tab – for a price of Rs. 12,999/-.
Compared to some of the other recent tablet launches, the Reliance CMDA Tab is expensive, but has decent features including that it is based on CDMA technology.
Reliance is pushing this tab as Master Multitasker, for its multitasking capabilities & performance. The CDMA tab is comes with Android 2.3 OS, 512 MB ROM + 512 MB RAM along with 7” Capacitive multi-touch screen WVGA screen with a screen resolution of 800X480 pixels.
The Reliance CDMA tab has a 800 MHz CPU and boasts front (VGA) & back (2 mp) camera. The tab has ability to make and receive calls and has a talk time of 5hrs (150 hr standby time) due to its 4000 mAH Li-On battery.
There are couple of other interesting features which this tab supports – It has Live TV coverage and this tab can work as a Wi Fi Hotspot as well (an inherent Android feature). It allows users to connect with upto 5 Wi Fi devices.
The tab has Pan India coverage of more than 900 towns and cities across India.
One thing that all users have to keep in mind is that this tab, like their 3G tablet, is locked with Reliance Network – so you cannot use it on any other network.
Here is a quick look at their pricing structure, which looks pretty standard:
